Simple, just name your top album(s) or songs that you enjoyed in 2008.

Santogold - Santogold (Song L.E.S. Artistes - So fucking catchy)
Oracular Spectacular - MGMT (Song Weekend Wars - Love it)
Lykke Li - Youth Novels (Song Little Bit - Stuck in Brain)

If you're wearing your hater pants, name your favorite album and song of all time. Now that I'm typing, 2008 kind of sucked musically, but I did find a few albums that got me through it. If enough people reply with similar tops, we can start a poll for top album and song of the year.

The Grits - My Life Be Like (Ohh Ahh)
Lupe Fiasco - Superstar (Remix)
Eve (feat. Swizz Beats) vs Radiohead - Tambourine Reckoning

Don't care when they were made, they are my favorites for this year of 2008.

Listening to:
Eve (feat. Swizz Beats) vs Radiohead - Tambourine Reckoning

As we speak.
That kind of reminds me on Girl Talk. I haven't heard their album yet, but a few songs are pretty much great.

Edit: What the fuck, their album is free like Radioheads pay what you want?

I don't know, I don't really listen to Radiohead. Their instrumentals are just in a song I like.

Oh, Girl Talk is nothing like Radiohead, just listen to the first track on their myspace. I just learned they did the pay what you want or pay nothing for their album, so it kind of tied into the Radiohead thing.

And cheeze reminds me I still enjoy metal.

Egomanic, but I've been bumping my mixtape since it came out quiet a bit. And our new song Be Prepared is played all over the place down here, so I'm going with that.

Fuck commercials.

Thought Death Magnetic was pretty good, being a metallica fan and all.
I also surprisingly enjoyed All hope is Gone from slipknot, and Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace from the offspring.

otherwise I avoided music from this year.

Girl Talk's shit is free because of the nature of his music... if he charged money for his albums he'd be sued by the artists he samples from.

Death Magnetic sucked balls... the mastering is painful to my ears. Downloaded the GH3 bootleg which sounds much better, but still not really a fan.

Most of my favourites this year haven't been from 2008, but here's a few I found pretty good.

Benga - Diary of an Afro Warrior
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I-IV, The Slip
Praxis - Profanation
Portishead - Third
Balmorhea - Rivers Arms
Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
Eluveitie - Slania
Rev Theory - Light It Up
Russian Circles - Station
