Oh, you live in california, so there's probably completely different options opposed to what we have here. Our cheapest satelite is like $60, ranges to $100.

same here. of course, for some ghey reason dsl isnt even available on my side of the railroad tracks. and paying the $60 a month for cable isnt looking too good to my parents. i think ill have to front them the cost difference, damnit.

my dad wants to wait for digitalpath(satellite shit), but i say hell no. cable now, and when dp finally comes here(which wont be until next year, after i graduate/move out) he can get it.

well its hella cheapass satellite. it has a gay monthly cap of like 2gb (and i think its gb, not gB), and is like 512/256 or some shit.
like $30/mo i think, but not even worth it really, since i would use up the limit in a week tops. i dl a gB every month or two off a 56k modem, ill be damned if im gonna dl less on a 512 kbps connection.

We sell DirectWay at Radioshack... I'm not sure where you got your dl/ul numbers from, however from we've been trained and told, satellite has DSL speed download rates, but you have to use dialup for upload....

Satellite dishes can't send data... only receive.
