God forbid they make a game that you know lives up to the expectation that it is in fact a game (something specifically made for enjoyment.)

For being a gameing forum your thinking is really shallow. Spore was never suposed to have crazy over the top game play. Spore is all about user created content everytime you create something it is uploaded to the net which intern is placed in other players games. Also the simplified editing tools, allow for easy creation of creatures, vehicles, and buldings has never really been done before with such depth. So to rate this game on gameplay alone is an undermineing what the game truely represents, and what it could birth in the future.

If the gameplay is abysmal, which it nearly is, then nothing is going to save the game. Period.

Ironically, part of what is luring people to pirate Spore is that the copy protection has naturally been cracked, meaning their illegal copies aren't restricted to a limited number of activations -- therefore making illegal copies, in a sense, superior to legitimate copies.

The Hilarious part of that is DRM only affects people who buy the games. Piracy works with or without DRM, and if companies can't see that and keep fucking over their customers, they will lose out in the end.
