Yes but 1) You said cost efficient not a 1v1 scenario 2) lings cant hit air 3) in numbers the zerglings will have to move to each individual hydralkisk + have room to surround it, where's the hydralisks can hit any zergling from any spot within a generous range. In enough numbers hydras > zerglings, not to mention they can hit them from a hill.Originally posted by Sexowoman
One fully upgrading Zergling could almost kill one fully upgraded Hydralisk. One Zergling costs 25 minerals, three Zerglings cost one Hydralisk. So Zerglings > Hydras.
They have one major flaw, they can't hit air
