I know this is kinda old but are any factual explanation that could support the question as to "Why would Da Vinci include a lady in the last supper?" Is this his idea of a joke or he just ran out of male models?

Right, there is no evidence in history that Mary and Jesus bore children. There is, however, evidence of his well-known lifestyle. For a long time the world has been described as flat. Anyone who tried to prove it wrong ended up in prison or execution. What if this is the same thing? What would you do if you find out that what had been injected into your mind is actually wrong? Would you not care? There was no evidence that Mary and Jesus bore evidence maybe the efforts to cover it up were greater than trying to discover it?
