DID YOU NOT READ MY POST!!!>??????!!!/1/!??!?!/111
Yes, but there is a difference between a President and a Prime Minister's role in democracy :). Plus, I am more familiar with how Canada runs, than America runs.

And all you needed to do was post a link to the Wiki :p.

@LC: It is ment to be symbolic.

A Prime Minister in a republic is the equivalent of a Governor General in a monarchy.
uhh, we have a Prime Minister and a Governer General. the Prime Minister is usualy the leader of the Party with the most seats in Parliment as part of the Executive branch, where the GG is the representative of the Queen.

The Governer General was useful before 1982, when Tredeau managed to get the Queen to sign a document stating that we do not need her consent to change our laws. Back then, he or she had to relay any changes in Parliament to her, and the Queen had to approve or it would not happen - since we were still labelled as a British Colony at the time.

John McCain lost my vote the moment he chose Palin as his VP.

As a true conservative I was hoping for either Romney or Lieberman :(

Yeah that's the same as Australia, seeing as we're both part of the Commonwealth. But what i mean is, is that the Governor General has power to stop the Prime Minister doing anything retarded and has the power to take him out of office. Same goes for a Prime Minister in a republic, he can take the President out of power, or so i've been told.

See it's a terrible election... The dems shouldn't even has gotten into Controll of congress and it's a mess now.. Ontop of that the republican chosen is a complete Moron... McCain doesn't know what he's doing, he's dumber then a box of rocks and has riden on the coat tails of better men then him, his entire life..

Ron Paul should be in office, he's the only smart politician left in the US lol
