Terminator 2 was the best.

I found that despite the fact I like Christian Bale, I really hated him in this movie. It was like he was channeling batman again. This movies interesting central character was that sam worthington guy, and Bale just seemed to do nothing in the movie but grimace and talk angry at people.

Other than that, the action scenes were really good.

Wrong. Two was the best.

Also, did anyone else think it was awesome when you saw the T-800 but then realised that it wasn't Arnie, just some macho guy with Arnie makeup? Made me sad.

john conor was the main character in the movie and yet he was overshadowed by the new marcus guy.

Marcus was the star in this movie and john conor was not. and this was the dissapointment aside from repeating action sequesnces all over again.

main terminator arrives-highway road kill scenes-and final one on one battle. It didn't give us something new, instead the pattern was simialr to all terminator movies. The effects, actions, visuals were great except it didn't offer something fresh.

come on this was supposed to be a new movie, that should focus more on the war side of the universe. There was little epic big war scene in this movie. not even a small battle scene at skynet.

the submarine was also annoying and discouraging. it was later destroyed making it a damn unnecessary filler.

star terk was a little bit better. I became a trek fan right after i saw the movie. Spock is a cool character in the new film, but hes kinda gay in the old trek series. but i still love his overall style.

It was a CGI render actually.

Just saw it. It was... good, i guess. I didn't walk away going "HOLY FUCK THAT RULED/SUCKED". Sam Worthington kinda stole the show, and to be honest, it was too centered on him. Oh well.

Now i really want to see James Cameron's Avatar (cos Sam Worthington is in it, and he's Australian!).
That was intentional, Connor was never intended to be the lead role, and in fact had an even smaller part until the script was changed to convince Bale to take the part. I know that doesn't redeem Bale's performance, though. Unfortanutely..

It isn't CGI, it's actually Schwarzenegger's face digitally placed over Roland Kickinger's body.

I don't mean to be a know-it-all, I just happen to be a big fan of Christian Bale.

If something is digitally rendered over something, it usually involves CGI -_-;.

I thought you had meant the entire T-800 was CGI, sorry about that.

My thoughts exactly. Bale had a laundry list of excuses for why his performance was the way it was, and it's almost understandable considering that was one of the first movies yet released that was written during the writers strike, but an actor like that should know what roles not to take.

I'm not a Christian Bale person. He tends to be this dark, emotionless and flavorless actor like Keanu Reeves is. Hell, his Batman voice was somewhat annoying. He is protraying a superhero, not a heavy metal singer.

No. If I refered to him as a death metal singer, you probably wouldnt be able to make out a single word he says.

He's playing a 'superhero' who is supposed to be a mentally insane anarchist who doesn't want to be a superhero. Of course it's dark and emotionless. And as far as Christian Bale's acting itself goes, apart from Batman, you should watch Rescue Dawn, Empire of the Sun, and American Psycho. I promise your opinion will change :).

No one else seemed to like it, but I enjoyed The Machinest with Christian Bale.

I did too, I thought it was fantastic. He went through a lot to prepare for that role.

It was average for me. I liked it, but it wasn't totally awesome like Star Trek was or totally shitty like the concept behind Dance Flick. It was only worth watching for the visuals.

Terminator I is the best of the 4.
This, I agree with.

It was average at best. Basically..it was stuff blowing up for 2 hours...which would be okay for a Terminator movie..but I couldn't care less about the characters..especially John Connor. I don't like Bale at all..so that's probably part of the problem..but he was so emotionless. I honestly just wished he'd die by the end..the other guy was a far better character.

Anyway..I was entertained for most of the movie..but it nothing spectacular (aside from it's special effects).

Actually, the script was worked so that Christian Bale would be Marcus Wright but he insisted on becoming John Connor - so that's not quite a brilliant move. He probably expected that Connor would be the lead but the future has changed. The action sequences were exceptional though.
