Temporary solution to running d2 w/o cd

y won't u tell me were to get the crack when ive go tmy own cd key and should i use the .cue file or the .bin file???

ok i just did this with daemon tolls i ran it and it says pleas einsert diablo 2 lord of destruction cd now what do i do

so you have daemon

you've mounted D2 Lod cd's image, which shoudl be *NAME HERE*.ccd

right?

then it should work unless you didnt restart your comp or soemthing.

.ccd i have a .cue file and a .bin file only the .cue file is showing when i use the daemon tools when i use the alcohol 120% i get both the .bin and the .cue file what do i do ?

Use the .cue file with deamon tool then hummmmm restart your comp (RIGHT?)

ok i just used daemon tools to put the .cue file on a virtual cd drive :i hen i used clonedcd and i did the whole red to image file and it done now what d o i do

its .ccd file, not cue.

I dont know what you mean. YOU ALREADY have the image you dont need to use cloneCd. Just mount it and it should work. if it doesnt we are srewed :S

CUE = ALCOHOL 120 % IMAGE

get .ccd file from CloneCd by creating image for D2 LoD

go on Daemon tools
Mount the .ccd file

Boom

obivously you dont know how to mount virtual cd rom, ccd works fine, Ive been playing d2 with it for 2 and hlaf hours now. If it doesnt work, tough luck, you might've not followed instructions properlly, because those directions there are perfect guide.

ehh i downloaded the bin and cue for lod, but it wont work without a loader, anyone know the official site, or a site with the new loader for 1.11 or it hasnt been out yet?

Wrong. .cue is NOT an alcohol 120 % image.. just about every single emulation software can make bin and cue..

Heres a small tip for you guys. Say you have alcohol 120% and a .bin file but no .cue file. Well you're only quasi screwed. 90% of all .bins ive ever had can be renamed to .iso and work just fine. Ie you have d2image.bin, change the extension to .iso and wham it works in alcohol. Sometimes its a rare thing, or if you're like me i never get the .cue files i just rename them.

What clonecd does is create an image of the program. (useless to you in this topic if you have no d2 cd)

What daemon tools / alchohol 120% does is create a "virtual" cd drive, you "load" the image onto the virtual drive, and run the game from there. (under my computer, there will be a new CD drive)

*note Alky can also create images, so can nero, and clone cd. Alky does both in same package.

If you are having trouble figuring out the mounting press F1 in alky and read the damn instructions, very simple you can even automate them with a .bat file to auto load an image when u double click the icon.

If you STILL don't get it open up nero or your fav burning program and burn the damn thing to CD. *note the .bin to .iso rename works great for burning in Nero too.

One more thing, if d2 STILL asks you for the cd when you get it mounted, try running it via My Computer->VirtualDriveD2ImageIsIn.

If that fails you could always just burn it to a CD and use the CD in the drive you installed d2 from. No burner? Reinstall D2 using the image. But I seriously doubt you would need to go that far.
