Guys should we open this chest or not?

*Neryul inspects the chest, and then starts beating it with his scythe*

Neryul: Open damn box!

*alan inspects the chest*

alan: hmmm.........i wouldn't open it yet.....let me disarem the traps......*starts disarming traps*

OOC: Technically, the DM makes the call of it having traps or if you can disarm it based on a roll. Just so you can know.

OOC: using plot twist powers!

*while he is trying to disarm the traps, which are in fact on the chest, alan takes heavy damage from a cleverly hidden lightning trap that he didn't notice*

Neryul: What smells like burning cluck-clucks? (hes a bit slow if no one noticed)

*Neryul proceeds to start hitting the chest with his scythe again*

Kender: I might have an idea on how to disarm this one.

Alimorel: Elven eyes may help, but senses improved beyond that of a mortal also help, i have increased Kender's visual senses by about 150%.

Aphra looks to Kender again. She walks over and crouches to see the chest as well.

Aphra: That seems to be a switch of some sort.

alan: i know! All we have to do is to kick the chest, and it will open!

*kicks the chest. It blows up in alan's face and he is knocked back a hundred feet*

Alan: Maybe i should think harder. Where's my lockpick?

*looks in all his pockets*

Alan: Ow. Well, I'll let Kender do her work.

*quickly turns around*

Alan: I sense somethings coming closer.....something evil...........

 

[Kitty]

Kender: Yup, I think I've just found the problem.

*pullls out a set of tools for her belt and starts fiddling with the side of the chest*

Kender: Almost done.

*faint click is heard*

Kender: Okay. I think we may be able to open it now. Just be careful.
