Okay I haven't made a summoner yet, but I have looked up a few guides. So of course I stopped by this one.
Basically it's straight forward, you're going to want to max skellies + synergies, max 1 golem (clay seems to be a good choice b/c it slows enemies) only 1 into revive. There are many reasons for the only 1 point to revive. I hear pple complaining about the AI for the revived. They seem to get lost to easy, and disappear. I've met a lot of summoners on b.net that say their skellies never die. Why worry about revives when u can have skeletons that can't die, but it's up to you how you build ur necro.
How to kill your first monster?
Iron golem has thorns...put 1 point into it...pack a few weps with you until you kill a fallen..then make a skelly?....Makes sense to me. Or you could get a + to iron maiden wand/trophy and use that + clay golem/blood to start your army.
Amp seems to be the only curse a that a summon necro needs. You can get a iron maiden wand as mentioned above to start your army faster. ?? Like i said i haven't made a summon necro. Well i made one in single player while i was bored one day..only got to level 13 then my power supply started smoking. But I believe I will make one when I get it fixxed (old pc here). hopefully i'll start finding some items (still poor
) any ways that's just my opinion on summon necros. The guide is top notch, and i heard that it's very weak to go summon/poison(bone).

90 + points there..not much room for another hybrid imo
