Like I said, I don't post unless I have something important to say. I do read what's here almost daily.

I'm going to the University of Michigan in the school of engineering.

Progress has been slow in the last few days, I'm still trying to work out a few issues with the trigger editor.

Alright, I'll ask the questions.

1 Is there an approximate date to when SF is going to finish?
2 What's the last thing you're going to do before SF is released?
3 Have you released the beta already? If not, when are you?
4 Was it originially called tse? Why did you change it if it was?
5 Who else is helping you make SF?
6 I don't "exactly" know what this is but what is a splash screen?
7 What's the approximate file size of SF when it's finished?
8 Person to Person, Is it a freeware?
9 Can you answer back before 11:00 Pm central time?

I don't have a date set right now. Hopefully I'll be able to finish the basic trigger editor soon, and that's one of the few major features that needs to be finished.

The last features will be the most advanced, like the advanced trigger and protection features.

I've only done private alpha testing with about 8 people so far.

Originally, it was called Team SE Editor, or TSE, which stood for Team StarEdit Editor, which just sounds stupid.

No one else is helping with the direct coding, though I receive a lot of advice and reference material from a few people on Blizzforums. Also, I'm using StormLib, written by Ladislav Zezula, to do all the MPQ work.

A splash screen is a little graphic that displays when you start up a program.

StarForge will be less than a meg to download.

Yes, it's freeware.

In hell, but hey I'm drunk too!

Heimdal thanks, but you failed on the last question. But I'm still here to see it.

Guys please don't post useless stuff. Don't make me be like "DoomDragon":D. I better not see this thread exceed 10 pages when I get back!

I couldn't remember if central time was -1 or +1 from mine. I figured I'd let the date on my post answer for me.
Edit: I guess the times on our posts are in GMT anyway...

StarForge will be no more complicated to use than StarEdit, except for the trigger editor. There will be help files, however, so if you don't understand the trigger syntax you can figure it out. You can also open other maps to look at how it works, which is how most people learn how to make triggers anyway.

Edit: I've seen some people that are new to map making that have trouble with StarEdit. In my opinion, it's one of the most intuitive programs out there (except that the trigger editor is very inefficient). So, if you have trouble with StarEdit, you'll have trouble with StarForge. And if you have trouble with StarEdit, you probably won't make anything worth playing.

Hey SF sounds great but i got two questions. First, for SF will you be able to make it so u can add more actions in a single trigger. For example in some maps (mostly bounds) there are two many actions to fit in one trigger. If u could stretch the limit that would be great :). My second question is about how far in percent are you done SF Heimdal? Thanks

1. You can not haver over 16 conditions and 64 actions.
2. Stop asking that.

I hope you aren't trying to reword triggers and such. The design does not need many improvements.

I'm not rewording triggers, only making it so that you type the words instead of clicking through drop-down lists and such. There will be an auto-complete feature to help you out too.
