Immortal : "hardened energy shields that can shrug off the most powerful weapon strikes - though at the cost of leaving them more vulnerable to the pinprick attacks of lesser foes"

perhaps a change to shields, whereby smaller units can get past shields meant for more powerful units?

In the Artwork trailer, there's some ingame videos.

--Edit--

I wonder what this is:

It has Zerglike (come on, some imagination :D) walls, and plenty of Protoss Technology there. Hybrids anyone?

after watching the ingame videos there is definitely some shield differences. Tanks didn't do much to the Immortals, but those marines who could "jump" took them down no problem. big guns vs. little guns i guess.

I still believe me first preconceived notion from first playing SC is still true.

That being Protoss are way overpowered in almost everyway.

Overall game mechanics look amazing, and some of the Toss techs look hardass.

Apparently there are those ships that can serve as Pylons and power buildings within their area of influence, and there's a Gateway upgrade that allows you to teleport mass units to anywhere one of those ships is positioned, sort of like a manaless Arbiter's Recall ability. Looks awesome.

Plus, the sheer scale has been upped. There's a part in a gameplay vid that has literally hundreds of Zerglings attacking a Protoss base. It makes me all happy in my pants.

Eh, I could argue that, I still prefer Terran, cheap but strong, but hey, it all depends on the people.

There is a possibility for them to add a new race. One might already exist, or they can still put them in. It's early development remember. Most of what you see now, probably all of it may change.

Immortale are supposed to be extra-weak against low-damage units (zerglins, marines).

Protoss seems to have changed a lot, but I think that the changes remain within the larger themes of this race: high-cost, high-effectivity, highly specialised units, but no polivalence. I mean, look at the screenshots where we see zergs: there's a hundred zerglins. But whenever there's protoss units, its never more than a dozen, max. Its more of the same.

Did any of you guys even pay attention to the storyline in the game?

The reason the Toss have changed so much and the terran / zerg havn't is because the Toss were pretty much wiped out, and their homeworld was overrun by zerg.

That's what you mean, the video in there.

Really cool!

Ye, I noticed it, they're a dieing race. Still, Blizzard hasn't released Terran & Zerg new units, so it's too early to say they haven't changed.
