which would be better? Im in a jam, cause i can either use ss or use it to get an arachnid, then use a lidless. Slightly broke.

Anyhow, my question is does blocking make a huge diff? Or would the mods on lidless be better anyways?

get an ss. period. one to skills won't make a HUGE diffrence and you will be walking (or teleing) right into mobs of monsters before you can even damage them and blocking and dr helps alot. Not to mention the melee chars and thier godly amount of physical damage.

it really depends on which casting frame rate u wanna go for. also if ur facing combat classes, ud want ss, and against spellcasters, lidless.

since ur either using ss or using lidless with arachnid, it would be the choice between maxed blocking + 35% dmg reduce, and 2 skill lvls + 40% cast rate.

Lidless only gives +1 skills.

My opinion ss, its good, gives some nice resist, n u could use the dr.

depends

IF u got 75% all resists with Lidless and 50% DR, use lidless

if u dont, use SS or lidless if u think u can handle it.

ok, i managed to find a nice guy who traded me his arach for items not 290s.

now, approximately how much dex will i need for max block?

(i know to look @ my dex when im wearing, but i want to plan ahead so if someone could come up with a rough idea that would be perfect...ty).

150+? (i eld'ed the ss for 74%)

makes sense. you do know there's a thing called a hel rune, eh? it does this nifty trick, when you want to trade the eld ss, you simply use it to remove the rune ;)

So? Adding chance to block isn't that important.

I would of socketed it with a number of other useful things.

that 7% blocking actually saves a lot of stat pts, which can go to more life.

just stick in whatever u think is necessary. if u need more resists, Um or diamond.
