Download FireFox or Netscape 7.2, both have built in pop-up stopping code. Just turn it on :p

first off..you most likely have the spyware called 'Gator' most people do.
Gator is detected by anti spyware tools. And the pop up says gator and I don't think gator uses porn unless you look at it lots.

And use Hijack this. Post the log file.

Yeah ive had a...similar problem to the one you are describing. My greatest weapon: reformating, but if its too much, i use adaware..

Yeah my problem was serious, i would scan for viruses and the such...no response...but when i ran adaware, i would find like 60 "infected" files if youwill, and i would get this one screen saying "press enter to exit" and i wuold altf4 it's ass, then give it a taste of proccess ending VIA CTRL+ALT+DLT, but it would **** up my comp, giving me shitloads of popups, flood my process giving me a usage rate of 100% and would make my comp virtually useless. So i reformated.

Well, lemme ask you this,

how often do you clean out your registry,
if the answer is never, then it will stay that way unless you have a couple of weeks (if not months) to waste on cleaning out all the crap that's in there.
other than that,

DELETE PROGRAMS YOU DONT USE, OR ONES THAT JUST FLOAT AROUND IN THE BACKGROUND.

And be sure to check in the Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel. Make sure those are only the ones you know and trust. Delete the others, they may be the problem. Then check the C: if there is anything left of those programs.
