I was about to recommend Vermillion pt.2 by slipknot myself...but that was already taken ;)

If you were to go by In Flames, Dawn of a New Day is a MUCH better song with better meaning...for soft, the song Gyroscope was pretty good...just make sure to get the old version and not the live, cause the live version was more or less harder.

I would also recommend Circles by Passenger. Good stuff.

Sorted by how much it will suit your needs.

Bush - Letting the Cables Sleep (This is ****ing beauty, get it now)
Bush - Bonedriven (****ing beauty)
The Vines - Mary Jane (This is beauty..)
Course Of Nature - 1000 Times
Placebo - The Crawl
Placebo - Summer's Gone
Course Of Nature - Caught In The Sun
The Vines - Autumn Shade
Bush - Straight No Chaser (see above)
Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees
Placebo - Burger Queen
Radiohead - Let Down
Bush - Inflatable
Incubus - I Miss You
Weezer - Only In Dreams
Bush - Out Of This World (about death)
The Buzzhorn - Pinned to the Ground
Placebo - Narcoleptic
Audioslave - Shadow On The Sun
Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes
Linkin Park - My December / My Dsmbr
Weezer - Undone, The Sweater Song
Staind - Outside
Placebo - Ask For Answers
Radiohead - The Tourist
Radiohead - Sail To The Moon
Placebo - Centrefolds
Bush - Alien
Audioslave - I Am The Highway
Bush - Glycerine
Radiohead - (The Album OK Computer)
Incubus - (The Album Morning View)
Portishead - Most of their songs
The Buzzhorn - Holy Man
Lostprophets - Last Train Home (not slow, party hard)
Lostprophets - Last Summer
Bush - Dead Meat (Slow, then hard)
Puddle Of Mudd - Blurry (not exactly slow)
Daft Punk - Digital Love (not Rock)

Enjoy. Some of these songs easily get me to cry, but that's just me. I'm not kidding. Note that some of these contain violins, pianos, contrabass and more orchestral stuff so yes, this is a good compilation.

It would be nice if someone could just quote this so he actually gets to read it.

Quote requested by Koritte because he is on your ignore list. Enjoy.

Some of those bands suck, but I'll look into all of them.

Wow, your musical tastes are terrible if you won't listen to anything before 1990.

I was going to recommend some Queen or some Zepplin, but looks like you've decided to not like good music. Your choice.

BTW Static, all great songs, Letting The Cables Sleep by Bush is one of my favorite songs.

And yes, amazingly enough I have expanded my musical talents past Nirvana, thanks to my friends and I on an allnight music fest a couple weekends ago.

Ahh, I wasn't sure if he would like that so I didn't post it. COF can certainly fit the ''slow song'' type of music for me atleast.

So much good music...

Try Nirvana - Something in the Way (MTV Unplugged version sounds better)
Disturbed - Darkness
Brand New - The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot
Brand New - Me Vs. Madonna Vs. Elvis

But clear blue sky is a win. So is the trial. And ALL floyd is pree 1990
