roach we may have been arguing here lately, but i agree with you on this

well mostly...some songs are ok...i like ppl=s**t, thats a cool one *nodz* and spit it out...

other then that i cant think of many i like...i dont care for slipknot much, im more ofa mudvayne fan

Slipknot can work a crowd. They rock the drum solos to a key.

Saw a video where Joey was doing a solo and then the drum set started to spin slowwly then put him at a 90 degree angle facing down about 10+feet into the air then turned him 180 degrees and lit up a Pentagram.

The Tommy lee of Metal I suppose.

yeah i give them that...they can work hydrolics ona drum set like nuthin ive seen.

ive seen joey get spun upside down that wasfunny + cool at the same time.

then shawn w/ the wabbily drumset that goes 15 ft into the air, thats always fun to watch..especiallyt hat one time he lost his balance and headbutted his drums to hard...that looked like it hurt.

I think slipknot was an entity much greater than just a band, it was a start of something new. I don't think without slipknot half of these people who say they like "heavy metal, death metal... etc" would be into that. I know of alot of people who got into that whole genre because of slipknot, and now they go and stab them in the back saying they are numetal.

I kind of liked slipknot, for a very short period of time. My friend was trying to get me into them, because he loved them...so I tried them out. I bought the self titled album back in the day. I listened to it several times..and got into them for awhile, but then I started hating everything about them. Once I finally started reading slipknots lyrics, I REALLY hated them. The lyrics were so stupid, I was embarresed to even be listening to them.

There are a few old slipknot songs that are listenable, IMO...but the bad outway the good, and the lyrics are completely retarded. I also think the new stuff just sucks. My friend actually sent me an mp3 from the new album, and I deleted it after a few times of hearing it. It was horrible...simple..and his vocals have gotten terribly weak.

Kittie is a whole different genre, so I don't really see how you can compare them. Slipknot is almost all screaming (but they do have melody, when he sings), while morgan from kittie never really screams anymore. Her style has changed drastically, and now she does more of a 'death metal growl', which is great sounding IMO. I'm quite impressed with the new album. I also love their lyrics, they have gotten so intelligent sounding. When spit came out...I actually hated kittie. Total nu metal...angry...the word "****" was said 80 times per song. Now they've totally grown out of that, and I respect them for it. They actually admit that they're totally embaressed of that album, and want to leave it as a thing of the past. They won't even play songs from that album live anymore.

We all have different opinions, but slipknot is just too "ROAR 666 YEW MAGGOTS!1" angry for me.

Well, I like Slipknot, I think they are pretty good, I just like it when it's screaming constantly, I like that kind of music a lot. I could listen to that all day, but that's just me. I don't even know what the lyrics are like so I couldn't tell you. I wonder if I acutally read them I would have a different idea about them. I love all of that screaming, maybe I should listen to some different variety...
