As far as a Linux forum is concerned, I've been off and on trying to learn to be fluent with Linux for upwards of 3 years. I wouldn't mind some more Linux based questions/walk-throughs/guides and the like in the Tech forums. If you want a sub-forum for it, your best bet is to create enough topics with enough traffic through it to make it worth the time.

I would contribute. I have some good links and could gather some sticky-worthy material when I have some free time which would most likely be tonight haha.

Like I said, possibility for reality it should be noted in the Tech forum as an interest. I'm working on Suse again, so perhaps we can get a little kernal talk going?

My brother stole my laptop and put Ubuntu on it. So when I get it back I'll probably start learning bash again. If I've got questions I'll be sure to post them in tech or something.

Lawl. You don't know a little more into the advanced. Everything you've done was with the graphic part of linux.

Try killall kdm =D

But yeah.

I was running on open suse 10.2 but windows killed my linux when i installed it on my 250gb.. but ill be on linux again very soon

i'd help out..
But i think we should start off with a subforum first in the tech section...

Linux is hardcore, but confusing. I'll stick with Windows for now.

Just upgraded to Ubuntu 7.04, I believe it was updated yesterday? My friend from school is a big open-source nerd, he developed a way to simply install ubuntu as a .exe on Windows.

I selected no for the simple reason that not too many people use it, and the ones that do will already have their choice forum they use for help. Also it will bring in traffic yes, but not the kind of traffic this site was made for.
