How come you're using scm format? jpg would be the best. Or are you one of those who cant get starforge working?

Note that any duplicate images are not my fault. Maybe Heimdal messed up in starforge, and maybe Starcraft is messed up. That's not the purpose of this thread (Placing dark templar sprite crashed on me and so I list my other images and now have to redo them).

Oh you don't know how to do it?

1. Download Starforge (v1.1) from Heimdal's site (link in heim's sig).
2. Load starforge after extracting its contents.
3. Click file -> new map.
4. Select either Null for black terrain or Ice for white terrain (I don't believe setting clutter works on new map).
5. If selecting Ice, change your brush to 128x128 and clutter to 0 and select the white ice, so that you dont get the cracks and messy terrain.
6. Place any terrain you want on the viewing screen first. You can draw a house or a road or whatever you want. This is optional and up to you.
7. Change your layer to sprite/overview layer. This will enable all the sprites. Now place them in the main screen.
8. When finished placing terrain and sprites (You can change the color of a sprite by changing the player number), press Print Screen on your key board. My keyboard says Prt Scrn/Sys Rq.
9. Load paint program and click paint.
10. Select only the viewable screen to save filesize, and the junk from appearing.
11. Click copy.
12. Click new, and select not to save (unless you want to).
13. Click paste.
14. Click Save As and type the map name followed by ".jpg".

That should be it. Any more questions?

To do this you right click your desktop>properties>Settings>

See the screen area? Boost it up as far right as possible and click apply. If your screen wizzes out hit ESCAPE (ESC) key... and go lower... until you get to the largest size your monitor supports.

dude right now mine is 800 x 600!!! my screen can goto 2048 x 1536
for you ppl that makes my pointer about the sive of 4 periods clumped together

You can change your cursor via the control panel to be bigger, should you prefer.. At 1024x768 or whatever I'm at, it's pretty small. Yours would be twice as big/small. I can see how that would be a problem..

ANOTHER one, huge. the theme is marines gone mad, they have locked up themselves into the bunkers, built stalltie towers and are watching satalite tv. not to mention attacking fellow allys. and they are also allying up w zerg and learning thier ways.

Nah, I'm not gonna do millhouse. Anyway, I was watching TV, and the simpsons were on, and there was a pic with bart w/ his skateboard, which gave me the idea, I guess that's freehand. I started on Homer, but the house became too hard. I'm not sure what else I should do...

Ok It took a long hour and several crashes but i made one! I used the null terrain and lots of sprites in starforge including malstrom lockdown missle and many others under the bullet menu. Any way its Neo from the matrix reloaded with the pole thing. The green stuff is needle spines made to look like the falling numbers. Here it is

That sword picture is really cool. What sprite is the blue stuff? I like the tanks...
Banana tree is pretty funny actually. Looks like donkey kong. Ghosts scarabs and marines...
I'm still a bit lost on Marines gone mad.
