ok for all of you who discuss haveing an option to change it from 2d to 3d and so forth, its not a plausible idea. if u understand the way the games are actually put together, you would realize that its not so simple as just making everything 2d. when u create a character in a 3d world, it must be modeled within a 3d modeling software and every vertice and edge must be shaped. then skins must be added, and bones, and last, animations are filmed and fed to the game and programmed to happen on certain conditions. when making a character in a 2d world, it is a matter of drawing, much like one would with a pencil, from the angle at which the world is to be viewed. then many of these framse are created and played back at high speed to create a false illusion of movement. in order to create both a 2d and a 3d world so that people could choose which to play, they would basically be required to make 2 independent games. all of the programming, the game engines, the units, everything would have to be done 2 times. one for the 2d game, one for the 3d. also, it would be immensely difficult and maybe even impossible to allow people to play on b.net across both of the engines, limiting the amount off ppl u can play with. and seeing as blizzard went ahead and made warcraft3 into a 3d game, i see no sense behind them not doing the same with starcraft 2.
and scfan13, please stop spamming posts about ur information or whatver, just make a thread and tell us what u can (IF u really have any)
