Rumors on getting better rune drops

Strangly so. My level 81 got a good rune from her, I forgot what it was but at the time it sort of saved my ass. I think it was a Mal, but it's been so long since I played Diablo II, I can;t even remember all the runes.

I agree that the rumor arnt true, but some rumors i herd where : if you put items into a cube and have a full inv drop the cube leave the game, get a new cube and then ur item is doubled

i tried to repair the hammer to get a better rune, but only got a FAL ( Damn Fal ) but then i did an other rush and got a mal from my hell forge

I have a theory....when i was in desperate need for good runes i would make chars and lvl them up to around 40 so i could get past the ancients and then have a friend rush me in hell and do forge, i think out of the 4 times i did it ist droped 3times...now that i have my own paly and i can rush in hell ive been rushing forge mules and out of the 5 or so times ive done it i think the highest ive ever gotten was um (the rest were fals)...i think it has to do with lvl

level does have soemthing to do with it... any thing that a monster drops can only be with in 5 lvls of the killer. who ever had the last hit on the monster is considered teh killer .. so if like i was lvl 40 i could only get something that required stuff from lvl 35-45 because of my lvl and same applies for any lvl

i think the hammer thing works, i tried it out, did 10 rush's 5 repaired hammer 5 didnt, i got 7 ists a fal, and 2 gul, 4 of the 7 ists were from repaired hammers.

the cow rumor is also true, i was bored and decided to do 2 hell cows and count how many i killed, the higher the tp count in tomb, the more cows it gives you.cant remember exact #'s. but it work, hence, more soc items dropped, more runes, more gems, etc

i really like how this guy registered just to post that. that is soo cool.

and ^, you havent proved shit. statistcally you would need to do at least 1000 cow runs with a variety of fullness in order to statistically prove that. if its random, there's a slight possibility that anything can happen. like getting 27 ists in a row off hell forge. or making 3 1bocta's in a row. the same thing applies to the damn hammer forge thing.

i rumor i heard is if when doing the thing behind meph u kill everything in there it drops better :/ i doubt that, blizzard is a bit lazy they didnt even bother to take the time to fix the cube and vendor thing really screws me up some times..
