I think it's absurd because in my opinion, when you die that's the end of it. To me the idea of a person's spirit going to heaven is more believable than your spirit being born as someone else. How could anyone possibly know about the existence of reincarnation if you don't remember anything when you're reborn?

I don't think that reincarnation is an absurd idea. No more absurd than any other form of after-life.

what you think and what really happens can be two totally different things.

so basically, even if malcolm x is a muslim, if buddha is real, he will be reincarnated.

and i the idea of going to heaven or hell for eternity somewhat baffling. i find it bull**** that you have to pay an eternity of suffering or an eternity of joy just because you acted that way you did on earth. there are external factors that govern what kind of person you are and what you believe.

basically, religion is really ****ed up and i doubt that any of those churches are correct in their teaching

ps. i still believe that a supernatural being exists.

the adaptation of caste system in hinduism answers it. the caste your born in tells you where you were last time or currently since it doesn't mean you move up significantly. Basically where u are now was determined by what you did before and consequences depends on what you follow. it usually isnt drastic like a fish.

taoism afterlife sounds a bit better imo. we go back to the force :O

You should probably consider that fact you have no right to judge a member who people like so much better you.
I'm going to guess that you missed the irony of that statement.

Cheeze is hilarious and unique. He's one of a very, very small number of members worth reading.
Part of it is true. But I wouldnt say very small number of members worth reading.

There is some sense in what he says, but sometimes its hard to decipher. But then there are times where its just pure nonsense.

If reincarnation is possible then how come we don't remember anything from our past 8732874893248320423 lives?

It's like reformatting your hard disk. You need to forget everything to start off fresh.

But with reincarnation, unless you theory created magic and hypnosis, you can access elements of thier past lives.

So you're saying we're living in the matrix or a computer simulation. :(
