XP doesn't have MS-DOS? I use Windows 98 SE and I have no experience with XP.

first, edit the BIOS to set the CD or Floppy drive to be first, and put in the windows instalation disc/cd. then press enter when it says boot from disc. then go into Windows repair and type map. then check to see what type the drive is that you want to reformat (NTFS, FAT32, or FAT16). then to reformat, i think its format (drive letter)/ ns:ntfs for ntfs or something else for FAT32 and FAT16.... i only know about NTFS more.... when your done reformatting, type exit. (windows xp home admin pass is nothing...)

thats so awsome summit. i like the idea. i have 3 partitions on my machine, 1 is my media (separate drive)
then i have 240 gigs in a raid-0 config, c: = 20 gigs for os, 220 is f and taht is for the rest of my files. it works decent.

although i also have a 2nd computer that is networked to mine, it is my server which has 2 hard drives, one for the os, and hte other is the serving folder, which is also a shared folder on my machine so i can just drag and drop files from my computer onto my server. can also edit the files simply by opening them in [insert favorite web editing software here].

i also have a weekly backup of my web folder onto my machine, which i also have IIS running for testing purposes. pretty simple.

OMG!!! Summit is making a hidden advertisement for GenXtreme!!!! ;) I wub j00 Summit.

I used to do something like that...but now I just have C: (80GB) for Windows and programs, and D: (120GB) for files.

-edit- Oh yeah, I also keep appserv installed on my D drive in a folder called "web" for PHP and MySQL testing.
