The Entire Shannara Sieries.

14 or so books. Each with a 350-700 page length. You'll love em!

Theres also the Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass. It's a good read also.

There is a book by Tad Williams I read a few years back,

the Dragon Bone chair. It's a three part series, but the "third book" is divided into two 700 page books.

Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, Children of the Mind. All of these are by Orson Scott Card. When you get done with those move on to the Alvin Maker series by Card.

If you like fantasy, there's the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. 10 books out right now I think, with an encyclopedia of sorts and a prequel.

Yeah, if you havent read thoes, read them. Speaker for the Dead might be my favorite book of all time. The Shannara sieries Khull mentioned is also very good if you like fantacy. And if you havent read the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman (The Golden Compas, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass), then buy thoes too, its my favorite fantacy series.

^^That should last you a bit more than 9 hours. But read them all anyways.

The Ender's series definately makes you think. It's SF but there are a lot of philosophical/religious themes in it.

if your into fantasy check out R. A. Salvatore he has a series of books on a drow elf called Drizzt Du Urden. Their all paperbacks but theirs a dozen or so with that character and writer. Very well writen actually won awards and all that.

The 9/11 commission report. Everything about the 9/11 event from the cockpit communications to the last words from people in the towers and so on.

The Stand by Steven King, about the last people alive after a plauge hits the world. A struggle of good and evil. Even better for a drive is Steven King's Carrie, just for the hell of it. Actually anything by Steven King, It, the Stand, Carrie, the Shining, ect.

The Art of War originally done by Sun Tsu. Its a great read to figure out life in general.

Hitchhickers guide to the gallexy. Aint tellin you what its about you just have to read it. It's a must own book.

Hope thses help out a bit.
