Ea: Backtalk in EA's Forums, Get Banned From Your Games?

"Your forum account will be directly tied to your Master EA Account, so if we ban you on the forums, you would be banned from the game as well since the login process is the same. And you'd actually be banned from your other EA games as well since its all tied to your account. So if you have SPORE and Red Alert 3 and you get yourself banned on our forums or in-game, well, your SPORE account would be banned to. It's all one in the same, so I strongly recommend people play nice and act mature."

"All in all, we expect people to come on here and abide by our ToS. We hate banning people, it makes our lives a lot tougher, but its what we have to do.

Those banned will stay banned, but like most other internet services, its not that hard to create a new fake e-mail account. However, its a lot harder to get a new serial key =)"

RA3 is pretty bad.

EA is like a plague, comes in buys good studios, rushes a mediocre game, then closes the studio. They completely ruined the Command and Conquer Series. They release the same sport game year after year. They make blisteringly stupid decisions, and is a huge reason on why modern games suck now.

Spoken like someone who can't micro, doesn't scout, and is constantly getting raped.

I know. Supporting the games and trying to balance them, that is not what CnC is about. CnC is about mostly symetrical sides, horrible balance, and no support. But seriously I bet you can't name 1 thing that hasn't been improved since EA bought Westwood. RA2 is considered the best CnC game ever, guess who owned Westwood when that was made.

If you seriously think EA has been bad for the franchise you are just ignoring the facts so you can continue with your EA is evil incarnate bullshit.

I took a look at a few screens of RA3, all the units look like they're taken from a cartoon.

RA2 sucked balls, the game was so slow.

And so do WC3's. I guess that makes it a bad game.

RA2 had that look so I guessing they decided to keep it. It also helps to separate the CnC series. RA has always had that over the top "cheesyness" and cartoony look while the tib games have the gritty look and feel to it.

Yeah WC3 melee is pretty bad.

RA3 just looks like little kids toys barging into each other.

Wang not playing the side that is made up mostly of transforming mechs and has a big badass mech? Wow...

Well I thought I was going to play the allies mostly but ended up falling in love with Japan so I've been wrong before. They have a psychic school girl, how could you not like that?

Epic fail

So the only reason the game must sucks is because I'm no good at it? Brilliant.

Totally wrong, but your arrogant presumption is still hilarious.

This is around the time you make it clear you haven't ever played a C&C game that wasn't from this decade.

In the original Red Alert, The Soviet Union had their heavy fire power in tanks, powerful base defense in flame towers and tesla coil and had a variety of air units with the end goal of an Iron Curtain. Overall the Soviets had high hitpoint, slow units giving a steamroller effect aided by the iron curtains invincibility effect. The Allies countered this with quicker units that were cheaper and built faster. Infantry is more important because of their medics, and mine layers decimated heavier tanks allowing their light tanks to survive the soviet firepower. Lacking many air units, the Allies had their navy, with a powerful destroyer that could take on anything in the game, which was in sharp contrast to the soviet navy limited to a sub. They also relied heavily on subterfuge with Spies and the ability to purchase a satellite for full recon of the map.

If anything, RA2 made the factions less unique by giving the Allies and soviets opposing types of units. Equal navies, air units, powerful base defense and late game tanks to the allies (prism towers and tanks), and the soviets a hero unit.

RA2 is considered the best CnC game ever, guess who owned Westwood when that was made.
Considering there is only 6 RTS games (no, Generals doesn't exist) in the C&C series that isn't a hard feat for most people to believe. However the original Red Alert was leaps and bounds better than Red Alert 2. Yeah and do you know what happened to westwood? They were closed down, after pretty much inventing the RTS genre, they were closed the fuck down.

Ea also made the series cheesy and made the game look like childrens toys battling on screen. The Original Red Alert was a serious game along the lines of C&C and Starcraft. But that makes sense since it was supposed to be a precursor to the Tiberium universe, something that works exceptionally better than the shit driven plot in the last two games.

More than likely you haven't even played an online match since you wont even try to backup your claim so your opinion really doesn't matter.

Sounds nice in theory but we both know thats not how it was played by the majority. It just ended up being massed units vs massed units like every CnC game released till now. Its still too early to tell if RA3 is going to end up the same way though. Also lol@medics. Mine layers were pretty cool and I'd like to see them brought back.

If anything, RA2 made the factions less unique by giving the Allies and soviets opposing types of units. Equal navies, air units, powerful base defense and late game tanks to the allies (prism towers and tanks), and the soviets a hero unit.
And here it finally gets some resemblance to balance and a little support. Although it wasn't much of an improvement.

RA attempted to be serious but the horrible acting in the videos just ended up making it cheesy.

EA is trying to get the C&C games into e-sports, something that didn't exist back in the early days of C&C, and changes obviously had to be made to the franchises. C&C games as they were would never even be considered for competitions.
