BF went offline because one of our admins screwed us, no other reason.

As a result some changes have been made which you will hear about in due course.

It took Chris too much time to cope with the problem.The announcement states that this IP server is temporary.In what way uploading the real one will affect? Losing the posts that we currently make on this new server?

The domain should be up for everyone now.

Right now we're basically doing an initial attendance to see who's coming back and who isn't.

Already with the traffic back up we've got 111 people browsing again. Nothing compared to our numbers before, but this is day 1 of the domain back in our name.

Additional information will be released when we've had a chance to compile all of our information.

Around that same time I expect to be making an extended post in The Asylum to vent as much as possible out in one sitting.

Placebo did something stupid probably, I dunno, I can't really remember, I think he did something similar to what TheSummit did.

Placebo tried to do a DoS attack, which was actually trying to destroy the forums.

That and he gave two other people admin access. One began mass deleting the entire forums while the other mass spammed to make life hell for those still on the forums while it was happening.

Eventually their access was cut off, and a very old backup of the forums was used to restore it, however about 3 months of posts and members were lost. That is considered "The Great Rollback of 2003".
