On the topic of faded jeans, lets just say it was ok to have them when it wasn't popular, a few years ago. But after that point, it just makes you look like you following a dumb, stupid trend. The same thing aply to trench coats. The matrix made them popular, and now, to many programers and geeks own one for it to be cool, or at least just special.
