There's no reason at all why making a portal "outside of town" would make you rollback. It can never truly be made outside, so there's no way to crash the server.

Talk about a useless post, have you tried this? OR is it just your opinion? Please try or read the other posts before you flame someone else.

Kodachi, the point of doing this is to get a rollback. You should be able to throw items down/give to a friend, enter portal causing a r/b. Come back you should still have those items...ie duped.

well if u can enter the tp.. no use for doin this.. ur posed to get c/i ans rollback... but to do the dupe u would.. make the tp outside drop all the shyt u want duped...then enter the tp and wala c/i and your rolled back.. so when u get back on you will have the shyt that u dropped and so will the person that picked them up in that game... so there i told u... now can u tell us how u enter the tp???

the point of making the tp outside is to create a bugged game. A bugged game then crashes diablo when u go near tp and u would have gotten rollback. Only problem is, i think that when i make a portal outside now, u dont get rollback so this method of duping is maybe *PATCHED*

The point is not to enter the Red Tp Just to crash game when your mouse hovers over the Red Tp

erm you cant expect me to answer within 20 minutes of a responce... i dont hover around these forums all day... anyways, you do not drop when you are inside the red tp, its just a normal cow level... someone mentioned a method with 3 people, and im guessing it involves gamedrop/drophack of some sort.
Even though the responces failed to inform me of how it would dupe by entering the tp, where you dont drop contrary to the belief... You can simply enter it with a NON-CLICK cowbot, but the method i used was my follow bot module. i led my follower near the red, and it entered by itself, i quickly moved away from the red portal so it wouldent return to blood moor, then i unloaded follow. I made a blue tp and my other character entered. Possibly it does not save when you leave FROM the red, maybe with drophack or a patched rollback module, or maybe you can make another Red inside of town and have 2 portals, succusfully duping...
I hope my information can help, and no, this has not been patched because it works exactly the same on BnetD.

I just crash, no roll back, i am not quite so confident this was patched so much as it never really worked.

There is a working rollback method that has nothing to do with red tp and all that...called rbxp. Im sure you know of it. But the point with rollbacks is not to dupe. That's why the whole thing is wrong. If you want to dupe it must not have anything to do with rollback. Rollback = nothing ever happened in that game. i.e. you enter and play for 46 days, then exit, and when u make a new game ur 46 days back. Also game automatically saves every 50 seconds (I think). I hope this info gives u some idead...if you didn't know it all b4...

Wouldn't you want rollback? i.e. you give stuff away to a mule. the mule saves and you roll back therefore you never gave it away so now both chars have it? At least that is how I understand it.

assertion failure is a clientside error... if it was patched we would be getting rollback... bnet cant patch something and give a clientside error...
