omg guys... calm down.... does it really matter if ebay can shut the server down?

if he can, well, then he deserves respect 'cause he managed what mostly everybody else didnt manage, and it's completly up to him [or the guy from who the method origins] what he'll do with his knowledge.....
if he can't... who cares... nobody else can do so either... so it's not a shame...

eventhough i wouldnt want the method to be released to the public, i see no reason to get THAT upset about this thread or this thing at all.... but however.... nice change to get some more posts, isn't it?

it was something like:
-joining a closed and a open b.net game before server shuts down
-change the received informations with some prog, to let your closed char stand in a open game
-mule open items to your closed char in that open gamne
-wait for server to get down, while standing in the game
-when server gets back up, your char will be saved and the open items are on closed realm


that's just a short overview.... i'm not involved in all this things so i cant give any further informations.... just read the original post when it was written and tried to remember now ^^

and you are right...it doesnt actually matter if he is able to shutdown server cuz I dont play anymore lol...but as I already told Ebay:

If there's one thing i learned in BF its: if any1 claims to have an import method, dont belive him, if it sounds to good to be true, it isnt true. but on the other hand: the ppl who lived like 200 years ago never thought we'd able to fly one day

Well, i could just ping it all to hell with my gbit shells. R/S (nice one ) in no time.Yes eBay, i do believe you. Even DoS'ing it makes a hell lot of lag, and DDoS'ing it would probably kill it. So bah.

The problem is to find a packet manager who can switch the traffic between closed and open which works for windows. (or w/e it was.. please put it up again eBay, i'll give you a lot of europe accs (lol you dont want that do you.. since you think cowing on europe sux )

I personally would like to beat the hell out of the person that came up with the idea that the lag dupe can't be patched...

it can't necassarily be patched in the way other things are, but that sure as hell doesn't mean it can't be patched...


as for a realm shutdown method, no one cares that you don't care. And I find it suprising that you know how to take down a server, yet don't know how to remain anonymous...

lol i think that was me, i was under the impresion that it couldnt be patched but now that i think about it there are some things they could do to patch it.

1. Ebay may (of course ) decide if he wants to keep the method removed or not (if you search like a madman u should be able to find a similar post somewhere though...) I DO think he should keep it since:
2. this method is either a load of BS (Ebay is the only one who knows it isnt so far) OR the end of D2...choose either one...just imagine the realm going down (either by Ebay or by Blizz ) and after that 100 of new ueber bugs are out...lol that's be funny

i may post it again in a month or so. the amount of people that flame me because they think it cannot work or that i cannot shut down the realm is amazing. And keeping myself anomus is hard when you go to forums every day like a million times. All blizz has to do is say ""hey, i want all of ebay.god's ips, heres 1000$"" to the people that own this forum and i get ****ed up the asshole. No thankyou. Im willing to sell it via paypal for alot of money, if you want it, pm me.
