Why can't we delete these members...I just want someone to explain it plz.

And if we can, i'll volunteer to go through and delete old unactive members. I'm bored.

The more members we show as having, the more attractive the site looks, the more members we get.

Simple logic.

but its ****ing useless your just wasting space for unactive users...i think personally it'd look better with less members that are all active...then it looks like people like to post here...wich brings in more people that'll post.

Simple logic

Still, most people do rate a forum based on member count. And that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Besides, you never know when an old member might decide to return, so it would be churlish to delete their original account.

But, most importantly, we keep old accounts for April Fool's jokes. Dirty, isn't it.

Granted most members have joined BF for hacks, not member count; we look older, more professional, and above all else populated if we keep all of the accounts.

Also, I've noticed some 0-2 posters from the 2002's that have started coming back and posting, along with many other join dates.

You don't know for sure that they aren't coming back.

thats still stupid stupid because if someone registers and doesn't post for two years obviously they weren't too intrigued in the first place about posting at a good forum.

It'd also free up some good names to be used.

Hey, you got me there :p

Anyways, I had cort delete the "Jason" account that was registered so I could use it for my name. That's how you get unique names. :)

Btw: what'd be the point in deleting all those members accounts anyways?

I'd like to actually know how many active members we have here. Besides, it's not very honest having so many members joined but 99% aren't active. I'd respect the forum more if we actually did delete accounts, but that's just not the way it works...

No, it would make us look strange.....

67% have 0 posts
13% have 1 post

Therefore you remove 80% of 60000 members.

It looks silly for a board with so many hits. Simple.

And it wouldn't take but 2 seconds clearing out old members ;) Cort could do it, as long as hes not afraid of putting in a few variables such as last activity in 360 days (I wub j00 crotch)

well duh were aware of it.....and so far no one has givin me a "good" reason as to why we can't delete them yet....."because we get more hits" does not cut it......plus we'd probably get the hits for the most number of unactive members too.

Then it wouldn't be fair, because people will be kicked for no apparent reason

How bout you leave 1337_bunntmaster, and we will delete you, and then you can ask questions? How would you like to leave for a year because of IDK, lets say army reserve. And you came back a year later to find that you have no more account and no more of your god forsaken post count.

Some of the older members have a tendancy to come back after a long while. How would you like it if you quit for a year then came back and your damn account was gone? I know I wouldn't like it.

Also, what if a ****** stole your bike?
