I know one thing--SCXE is too limited for me right now. It works very well but has too many limits. Why can't I make my firebat attack air? Why can't I make my command center have shields? Bleh. This sounds more like a strange mix of arsenel and scxe, which will be nice. I want to be able to create some insane maps with really odd items and be able to do more with just one editor. I'll definitely be getting this when/if it comes out.

SCUMS will never be the same noe(for thouse dont know what SCUMS ar SCUMS=Starcraft UMS

I do believe he may be talking about TSE, even though it may not be the "official name". Check out Blizzard's forums; I believe DrunkenWrestler is either testing or working with Heimdal on the editor. I really don't know how far this editor has gotten, but I'd give it a couple more months or so until official release. The post on 4-10 or so made it sound like it was partially worked on and partially functional, but that it still had a majority of options to be added. After all, programming is lengthy, testing/debugging is lengthier, and suiting it to the needs of every whining, content-hungry map creator like me is the lengthiest. Personally, I'd be glad to have a new editor at any time, even a year from now--I know how frustrating it is to make a program you think is perfect and compile it, only to find gobs of errors created by one missed character in a string.

Firebat attack air? Easy, stick a dt infront of it and tell it to attack it, make sure you aren't allide with the dt.

Command CEnter have shields? Edit your .mpq file, or create a mod using arsenal.

The thing is, those kinds of things SHOULDN'T be inside sc, most likely this editor will start creating maps that starcraft can't understand, and have to close down sc (crashing it).

What I meant was firebat attack air as in firebat attack that guardian ripping him up. For the Command Center to have shields--well yes, I do know about mpqs and stuff, I have made a few for fun like that making tons of units cloak and have shields and crud. And lastly--even if they shouldn't be in Starcraft and even if they'll crash the game, a new editor will be more fun than ever.

Fire bat attack air? well u need a time machine or buy it off blizzard b/c thats in Starcraft Alpha/Beta, the early Starcraft

But if you want me to shorten it, I guess I will cut a few lines.

Tass- Why would SC not understand any of the maps? The editor takes what is already there and changes the rules. Look at SCXE, the indep. CC crashes, and that was already in the game. If the editor makes units or whatever that crash maps, it's only digging deeper than SCXE did.

the independent cc isn't in the game, it's a program that's not supposed to run, all it is is the scripting that kills sc, but when it's shown up as a unit in a map, it kills sc, the way it's supposed to.

Master plz, get rid of the farting dude...

lil funy & stupid at same time i just found out something why dont the unused stuff have no hpbar yet u can still attack it?

Tass, if the independent cc, or indep sp or anything else weren't in the game, they wouldn't be able to run on other people's computers without the use of a mod.

they are in the game, they are just never used, truly, they don't even look like what the pictures show, the independent starport isn't actually a scout. If u use x-tra editor, you'll see some of the original ideas for buildings on the startup screens of it.
