I have 30 gigs left off a 37 gig hardrive. I have a bunch of 40's laying around, maybe I should add those for fun.

Wow, that'll be one nice computer. If you can afford that, I'd stick with it. And yes, it does have a slot for your ethernet.

Alot of new games takes up alot of space. Farcry takes up 5gigs for sure.

You should try switching the 9800 Pro for a X800 Pro instead ($200 more). I have a 9800 Pro (built by ATI brand) and it already seen its limits in games like Battlefield Vietnam and Farcry.

That is one hot video card, need a heatsink or two for it..
