Chemist: Alright, alright...
*The chems squad strap down Simon onto a table-like, laid back seat. Probe arms jutting from the wall come up to him and take his diagnostics. Others come down, holding various hypodermic needles and other devices for treatment. Soon, after his diagnostics are finished, the arms move down to Simon.*
Chemist: We need to drug you out; don't worry, you'll just feel real sleepy.
*And so Simon is soon unconcious. He goes through various therapies, including steriod injections to up muscular volume and strength; The blood vessels within his eyes are augmented, allowing for even better sight, in both light and dark; his heart is augmented and modified like an engine, allowing it to pump blood faster and with more ease, allowing him to run much better; his lungs are coated in a solution that allow for better retainment of oxygen and the conversion of carbon-dioxide into oxygen, giving him a much, much greater dive time; his nerves are put through shock therapy, allowing for him to have a much better reaction/twitch time, for his reflexes to snap in .0021 seconds; and finally, his skeletal/steel system is coated over in neo-titanium, making them even stronger than before. The rest of the DREAMs are augmented similarly. In a day they wake up.*
Leo: This'll take some getting used to...
Kate: *Screams*
*Dexter runs over to Kate, or at least attempts to. He trips over his own feet and go sprawling.*
Dexter: Kate, what is it?!
Kate: I can't see!
Simon: maybe you should try and open your eyes?
kate: Oh... but they won't react!
Dexter: Can someone help me off the ground.
*Divinia, Geans, and the Admiral come in. The help calm things down and get Dexter back to his bed.*
Leo: What's up?
Divinia: it's just like the beginning all over again. You'll need to get used to your augmentations. And remember, no sudden moes yet; your bones are still re-hardening, and your muscular system is getting re-adjusted. We'll put you guys through therapy, and then the mental stims. Oh, and the new suits have arrived.
Leo: New suits?
Divinia: yeah, Mark X. So we'll be putting you in those ASAP, after you've recuperated.
*Divinia, the Admiral, and Geans leave. As soon as they are out of earshot, loud whoops of happiness and joy emit from various team members.*
Leo: Calm down guys... alright, sit up, let's try getting used to our new selves.
*Two days pass quickly, spent recuperating from the augmentations. The DREAM MAKERs are put into their new Mark X suits (they look like the Master Chief's Halo 2 armor, but slightly slimmed down).*
Divinia: The suits have even more weapon slots. Two shoulder mounts, two back holsters, four wrist mounts, two more holsters on the thighs, and a pair of light vulcans in the helmet. You've got enough oxygen in that thing for at least an hour and a half, but with your lungs, possibly double that amount. It's made of a cermaic/neo-titanium/depleted uranium alloy. The servos, neural links, thought-comms, and AI uplinks are all upgraded. The suit will nearly respond to your thoughts. You've got an infrared, night, black and white, and polarized HUD, and can switch between anything except for the polarization; that's always on, and it reacts to the amount of light there is. If you feel it's too bright or dark, you can adjust those settings. You've got a 12x zoom, electronic weapon-familirization system that adjusts the killrate, firing rate, crosshair, and accuracy accordingly.
Leo: Accuracy?
Divinia: Yes, the suit will automatically adjust for the best accuracy. Of course, that doesn't mean you'll be hitting heads while running around with a heavy machine gun. The suit has a laser painter for painting targets for air strikes, video recording, and various relays. You can record and send video or designate targets, send them to the battle HQ, and get yourselves an airstrike or tank assault.
Leo: Anything else?
Divinia: The shields have been upgraded for a double recharge rate and strength. You can take two timesas many hits and recharge two times as fast, effectively giving you shields four times better than your old ones. You also have what we call the 'crystal glove', a flexible crystal underlay. It helps power the fusion generator in your suits, gives you even more protection in case your shields go out, and allows your for much easier interfacing with any sort of electronics. The AI uplink is located in the same spot on the helmet.
*Leo slots in Tex's data chip.*
Tex: Ooh, shiny. I'm going to love this thing...
Divinia: The suit also has a 'dumb' AI. It can relay info to you, designate threatening targets, shoot when your distracted, etc., etc., but cannot actually control what the suit does. Your AI can interface with it. And that's it for the briefing on these suits. Get re-adjusted to them, and twomorrow we'll have you in for mental stims.
