Mormans...

This is for Forged and all you other people to complain about mormans instead of putting irrelevant information in the "no god..." post. So start saying whatever you like about mormans. i dont really care, kind of funny how you all hate me cuz im morman. Amusing really.
I feel discriminated against

Mormons are fine in my book. I have plenty of Mormon friends. I just don't like the one's who come up and ask me if they can visit me and my family. The one's on their "mission" to spread the word of their God.

What I don't get is why people discriminate against Mormans sometimes just because we mormans, its like whites think their better then blacks. Its a color of skin! Holy crap does it matter that much!? Discriminating because of something small like that is childish.

beliefs and skin color are totally different things. im fine with your belief, but the mormans i know are all insane radical or big pussies... like they refuse to play diablo because it has the devil and hell in it.. and i was reading some of the morman commandments.. that god tells you how you can flippin have your beard! too intense for me. just let me live how i want to live, screw all those regulations.

Now that I think about it alot of Mormans are intense and crap. Just that I don't socialize with them because they've lost hope in me. lol. And the funny thing about diablo is it's true. Like I will never have the satisfaction of watching a movie rated "R" (with my parents permission anyways) and same with "M" games but I just scanned the "T" thing onto my computer and printed a page of them out and magicaly all my games are teen. I wonder how that happened...

Funny you'd say that because the LDS have only recently allowed blacks to preach, and orthodox mormon's still believe that blacks are the color they are because God turned their skin dark because they had sinned.

Funny you'd say that because the LDS have only recently allowed blacks to preach, and orthodox mormon's still believe that blacks are the color they are because God turned their skin dark because they had sinned.

Yes, it is childish, but it's kind of like a habit to have a group to discriminate against (especially within the Church). First the Church refused to even acknowledge black as being humans, then they were debating whether or not women had souls, etc. Many branches of Christianty still don't allow women to become pastors/priests. It's just how things work, I guess....

speaking of blacks.......and this also includes minorities, i hate it how they use the past to gain advantages..... i mean whats done is done. exspecially with blacks they get babyied too much.

i agree. but, there are still people from like the 70s where there was still pretty extreme racism around. until those people are gone (give it about 50 years then we will have no people from that era left) we cannot begin true equality.

OT: Interesting note...without slavery there ancestors wouldn't even have been in America, thus them not being here, thus them not getting the rewards in court from the government they do today. Not justifying racism, I just hate the reperations they get.

A couple of things:

1). Not all mormons are to the extreme with beliefs and such. I have friends that play Diablo, WarCraft, Everquest, and much more. If you are in Utah they are more intense b/c that is where it originated.

2). If you think that Mormons are bad, I'd hate to see what you think about Jehovah's Witnesses. Mormons don't just show up they ask you if they can visit when they see you in public and schedule at date and time.

3). Agreed about the past and minorities. Stop bitching about your great great great great great great great grandfather.

If 50 years whites will be the minorities then it won't matter who's around b/c they will still be getting affirmitive action.

well, blacks that were facing serious discrimination in the 60s and 70s are still around. im for helping them out as they were screwed from the start, but these kids our age bitching about how WE opressed THEM while they know nothing about history at all... They just know that "they were slaves and we were evil slave owners." they were never slaves, hell they were never politically oppressed either.

obviously we cannot have true equality until the government levels the playing field... gives equal opportunity to everyone, and gets rid of affirmitave action. but until the older people from the 70s are out of the work force i dont mind affirmative action. give it a little while... say they were 20 when they starrted working in 19070.. say they retire around 60, thats around 2010. by then most people from that era will be out of the work force and we can truely level the work field and bring about true equality. 50 years was a stretch give it 10

Where did you get this crap? When I was born the bishop of my church was black. 13 years ago doesn't seem like "recently" to me. and im not even going to mention what the first bishop of our church was...wait I will...he was black as well. And no my church isn't all blacks. And now that I look at your post it makes even less sense...The bishop doesn't even preach in a LDS church. He gives advice to people. He has 2 bishopric members who help him with assigning things. Like every week we have 3 speakers (less its first week of month) These people were assigned to talk about something such as "Faith" or "Repentance". But to make this a great deal shorter c9h13no3, I'll just say that you know crap about mormans and that if your going to post in here again at least have studied something about mormans.

Mormans contradict themselves too much... they talk about how Jesus wasn't god's son, yet the idolise the bible which says it was. Then they say that Jesus was never ressurected but they talk about his ressurection in the Book of Mormon.

Seeong as I was 5, 13 years ago and thats finally when the moromns stopped segregating that seems like extremlly recentlly.

A mormon is someone belonging to the church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.. i don't know about political correctness now a days but it has always been considered on the fringe of Christian denominations because alot of its beliefs are very different. However im pretty sure alot of people are accepting it as a more legitimate religion these days.

I know a couple of mormons and they are pretty cool guys. Ive noticed that they know ALOT about the Bible... I am in awe of how much they can quote and cross reference (kind of like MarkS... .*tear*) anyways. yeh i personally disagree with ALOT of their beliefs and think for the msot part they have interpretted the Bible incorrectly. but there is no point arguing that becasue no one can really prove anything until Jesus comes back.. then i guess we will find out if all that door knocking was worth it.
