block lock is where you cant really attack because your char is stuck blocking. Kao you can always have a switch of gear in stash iguess.

You can also die when it's (block lock) happening to you. When you are locked, you can also be hit. You'd have to have alot of FHR to recover from block-lock. Hence reinforcing my side of this.

If you want to have attack speed you can use a weapon with the "Passion" runeword (Zerker Axe is fine), which gives +1 to Zeal and some nice attack rating bonus... but I repeat that imho a melee sorc is going to suck in pvp, cuz her physical damage sucks, and her godly fire damage can be easily resisted with full fire resist and Dwarf stars.
