LOTR wasnt nominated for cinematography, why?

its a conspiracy

they didnt want to shatter the record of 11 oscars which titanic and like one other movie had.

:rolleyes What is it with people and consipracy thearies? Oh well, maybe no movie can be nominated for more than eleven? That could be some unstated rule. A quid pro quo, so to speak.

haha I am soo happy that LOTR swept all the awards it was nominated for. Its such a good movie series. So far, I dont know anyone who didn't like it.

Also LotR was the first ever fantasy film to fin Best Picture, so theres another great achievment there
