as far as i watched, LOTR won everything it was nominated for

i was makingbets on WC3 for stuff on it saying LOTR was going to win every single nomination, i kept getting stuff .

it really was a good movie too

dang that sucks for you...all i watched was the end when they won best movie or sumthin. it was a good movie. saw it 3 times, made out in 1 time and watched another time and left half-way through the 3rd time...

LotR was a great trilogy. FotR, TTT, and RotK deserved those awards. I was a little worried they wouldn't get their due considering that Titanic had the record. Oh well, a new king has been crowned, and all is well. Let's hope that there can be more movies like LotR. Maybe The Hobit remake (?) will shine in a few years. I'll have to actually watch The Passion of the Christ before I know where it stands on my movie favorite's list

Star Wars is, tecnically, three trilogies. The three trilogies are seperated by primary characters. If you look at Star Wars that way, LotR wouldn't be a trilogy, as you'd include the original, animated, The Hobbit.

What do you mean bam, there are only the 2 trilogies. There have been rumours recently about a third trilogy, which lucas talked about back in the 70s. However, he has already stated he wants to get on to other stuff. There have also been rumours of a weekly television show.

LotR's had action for the boys and Orlando Bloom for the girls. I think it lasted too long and wasnt near as good 'The Last Samurai' or 'Cold Mountain.'
