And you need to get your stats right. Death's web will not add 50% Poison Damage. It's -50% Enemy Poison Resist if it's perfect. Bramble can get a possible 50% Poison damage, but I've only seen one.

being the poor nubzar that i am... i use blackbogs instead of death's web. This way, i can actually stab shit. With the trangs on (yea i know, bugged to hell), and a +3 to pnb ammy, i cna get about 26K with psn dagger... and the ARfrom the skill itself is enough to make it hurt, and i usually get a 90% chance to hit, even in hell. I would consider it, especially in leveling.

A necro doesn't go melee often, because they usually don't have much life. If you want to use it to level, go ahead. My dagger does loads also, but I don't use it because it takes years for the poison to do its damage. Nova is much better for killing monsters, because of its short duration. Just get a merc, amp + ce. When you're 24, do ancients, then leech in baal runs. You can go melee, but don't expect to kill anything.
