Open Bnet is where the characters are stored on your computer, and therefore can be manipulated and hacked by the owner.

Closed Bnet is where the characters are stored on blizz's own server and are *supposedly* free of hacks.

2. most people would simply see if their char sucks by considering the following: "do i get my ass kicked in duels all the time?, do carvers massacre me?, and do people say i suck alot?".
