THATS why there is FUSE people :D too many MTV haters out there who want something new. even though i would consider FUSE about 70% rock 20% metal and 10% rap they have some "different" stuff every once in a
while.
Actually, sometimes, in the metal scene, it's downright necessary. The guys I trade music with won't share with you unless you've got something they haven't heard////is hard to find for them in return.
actually, when it comes to metal, there are TONS of unknown bands and i guess this discussion is what this is all about. SOme more unknown bands i like are Tristania, dragon lord, otep, sepultura, ultraspank, and dimmu borgir, of which there CDs are REALLY rare even though they are popular among
"certain" groups of people.

Funny how you consider the bigger names in metal to be unknown. Just because your average 12 year old hasn't heard of Dimmu Borgir doesn't make them unknown. They've been around on the black metal scene for quite some time. Long enough to go from being good, to quite lame infact : /

PS - Send me an AIM @ c9h13no3hcl sometime. We'll swap music.

well a few of those i named really are hard to find bands, at elast Tristania is and Dimmu is only common to the people who listen to black metal of which they dont even exist to other people. ultraspank wasnt really that big either but i guess they still wouldnt be called unknown, but more bands like tristania and dragon lord are.

who the f*** cares if it's cool?

Music is supposed to be pleasurable and touch you in some emotional way..not give one status.

I listen to these so called "unknown" bands: guided by voices, robyn hitchcock, and other lovely unpopular bands. But, I don't think it makes me any cooler. Cool is all in one's personality.

Shut up, idiot.

I listen to whatever sounds good to me. It doesn't matter if it's mainstream, underground, or even disney theme songs. If I like it, then I listen to it. If I cared what people thought about the music I listen to I'd be listening to Linkin Park all day..

um, u wont tellin me to shut up, where you?
like i quoted unknown bands being cool is all in one mind
of course among some people some guy might have a rare CD by a not-much-heard-of band and shows the CD off and since his friends liked it, THEN it would be considered cool,
BUT ONLY
to the guy and his friends. it doesnt print a note on your forehead that says " i listen to unknown bands so im cool", ok?
