Though bush's intelligence is in question, at least he was never stupid enough to say that he invented the internet.
Why would he be against abortion? Abortion is a right. Why bring an unloved child into earth? Plus, we are already suffering massive population growth. No need to flood the world with future drug addicts or homeless people. I know there are people on adoption lists, but it's the right of the mother if she doesn't want to have the child. Abortion isn't murder. I think bringing an unloved child onto earth is more of a crime. Plus, it's their body. They can do whatever they want with it.

At least Gore's followers are intelligent to realize that Gore's quote was for one thing, sadly misinterpreted.

This cracked me up when I read it... "... But the fact is, Bush is still ahead on education. There are more high school students in Texas who can read and speak better than the governor than in any other state!"

Cmon Skuzzy, abortion is probably one the few issues that I would maim large populations of people over, I refuse to sucked into an argument of such a serious topic with the two moderators of this forum. You have to excuse me, If we meet in person we can debate this topic ad infinitum. However, I feel safer in my efforts to support Bush. You think hes stupid, thats fine. Obviously it doesn't matter what he does, your going to continue to believe that the fact that he is an incompetent speaker be the ultimate factor in your opinion on his intelligence. Bush will forever be known as the president that brought this country out the World Trade center attacks and made it fully cognizant of Terroism and made a great effort to defeat it, even with being an abstract term. Even if Bush is dumb, as even you cannot prove, then those who surround him in his cabinet are not. Where Bush may lack the slickness and charisma of that filthy, prick Clinton, he has vision and perspective that allows him to see the world in a more black and white fashion. While this may be a diplomatic hindrance at times, it undoubtedly is a perspective that will achieve results, for good or bad. There will a war in Iraq and Iraq will fall and it will fall quick and hard. Bush will be decisive where Clinton, examples: Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan, Sudan, and Iraq, WAS NOT. THE FILTHY PRICK BOMBED A EMPTY ASPIRIN FACTORY IN KHARTOUM TO MAKE IT APPEAR THAT WE WERE FIGHTING THE WAR ON TERROISM, (calm down, breathe) and the handling of the somali situation is obvious and sad to all. Example: Black Hawk Down. Clinton had several well known opportunities to capture Osama himself and chose not to. Alright thats enough from me for now. I am sure you will all get sick of this yankee conservative in your midst.

Apherius,

Your posts are not going to be edited, deleted, or censored for anything you say just because we are mods... The Asylum has numerous posts bashing SkuZZy and probably me, I've seen them. I don't delete them. Moderator powers are given to keep the forums functional, clean (as far as keeping posts in the right sections and censoring pornography), and safe.

I welcome discussion on this topic and I really don't want you to feel intimidated on this subject just because of our status.

I also want to bring your attention to Silynt Rage. He was a member that protested against SkuZZy for refusing to ban Clan PD's forum from BattleForums. The clan's forum is now a private one with a password to access due to all the harrassment they received. My point is:

1) It's been a long time since this forum has had a heated intelligent argument.
2) Standing up for your beliefs, like what you just did will get you nothing but my utmost respect, and respect from others that share your beliefs.

I'm open to continuing this debate in a more friendly manner if you wish, and I'll give you my word and my honor that I won't move your posts anywhere, edit or delete them. This is what the Asylum was really made for. :)

As for my argument:
I find that Clinton was a superior diplomat. He was more concerned with the affairs of our allies and neighboring nations. He was a calm but intelligent leader on his own and had a cabinet of smart intelligent people around him. Have you noticed all this anti-American friction lately? Not around the forums, most of the people in the forums don't concern themselves with worldly affairs just yet. It's because Bush is beefing up defense budgets, boosting the army, raising defenses.

Well what the hell else is the rest of the world going to think from that? That we're prepping for war. The world fears us, and out of fear comes hatred toward the master... us. Yes, we are the dominant nation on this small planet, however only on a country to country basis. World War III is coming. Maybe in our lifetime, and maybe not, but we'll all start to see little pockets of alliances forming. Countries deciding whether they want to see the US persevere through this upcoming war, despite our belligerence as of late. And then the countries that have had enough. Enough lies, international interfereance with governments, and coorporate/political corruption.

What right do we have to force our beliefs on another country? Do we let the Chineese influence our government system? No. Because we're so caught up with being right all the time that we've lost interest in the opinion of the rest of the world. Strength by force, strength in numbers. Coorporate interests. Greed. Aquisition. All these things we've become so enrapured in has given us a false sense of reality and what is going to happen. You speak of war as though it's a good thing. It's going to solve all our problems.

War doesn't solve problems.

It enforces the victor's opinion over the conquered and causes even more unrest.

Our actions now, can and will be our undoing.

No bush can't find osama because he is one person in the world and was probably out of afganistan before the planes hit the towers. I don't know why any one thought theyd actually catch one guy who has a 10 million dollar bank account. Bush is not as dumb as you people think remeber you voted him in. By the way I am canadian.

Cortalos, thank you for the reassurances, i greatly appreciate that.

Clinton APPEARED to be a superior diplomat. unfornately, i cant think of a single situation where he actually used diplomacy to fix a problem, or made it APPEAR that the problem was fixed.
You want examples, I got examples.........
Example #1 The Palestinian crisis.
Clinton made a lengthy effort to try to bring the two sides closer. Attempted to force the Israelis into a compromise they didn't want and boom the whole damn thing flies apart. Bush is smart enought to know that neither side wants to compromise yet and that they will not and cannot be forced into integration or separation.
Example #2 Elian Gonzalez
Not only was the diplomatic efforts unsuccessful, it required 7 fully armed seals to remove the kid from the house.
Example #3 Somalia
Nation building......hahahahahaha. Diplomacy efforts....hahahaha. Military strikes.......disaster. Way to go Clinton.
Example #4 Iraq.
After diplomacy breaks down, Clinton begans to think about a military strike, but oh well, the economy is too good to start a war....Clinton says " we will let the next guy deal with this one"
Example #5 North Korea.
After convincing the idiot Jong Il that starving his own people is not cool, we give his country light nuclear reactors and make Jong il sign a little paper saying he wont build nukes....and we give him about 800 gallons of oil. Oh yeah, we also warn him that we will monitor his reactors to make sure nothing funny goes on....Oops. Never happens. Now we are where we are today, Pretty fricked slick there Willy, Pretty freaken slick.
