It felt good to wake up and be the first one in my family to vote today. I casted it for Obama.....and it feels good to be able to say that I never voted for our failure of a president known as Bush.

I voted liberal in our election because Stephen Harper is a lying, sadistic sack of crap who forces bills through by calling them confidence motions and muzzles his own MPs. I don't even like Dion, I just can't believe Harper is still in power.

As for the American election, I voted for Obama by proxy because I'm a dual citizen. My vote is counted in Connecticut though so I don't think it'll make much of a difference.

And yeah, 4 more years of Republican bullshit, great idea. Personally, I'm looking forward to the day I can be proud to let people know about my American citizenship. America is the laughingstock of the rest of the planet after 8 years of Bush, and electing a democratic government in this election will do wonders for our reputation in Europe and Canada. Luckily, I'm not even too worried about the presidential race, I'm fairly certain Obama has it. Personally, I'll be more interested to see if the Democrats get a filibuster proof majority in the senate.

I don't understand why you would throw away your right to vote... It's important to vote, even if you feel it won't affect the overall results.
