I would take my IGCSEs in England, so I can stay there in College or Sixth Form and use up my 3 years but I've already paid my exam fees, and if I do something that drastic CIE might disqualify me.

I'm not screwed, for heaven's sake, just that I will be screwed once payment starts coming up.

Cort, can I be Senior Admin and put that on my CV? Please?

Are you planning to stop at your IGs? Not many unis in England will accept students based on their IG scores only. I'd consider A-levels and IB if I were you (I'm in the middle of my IB mock exams, after that, I've just got my final IB exams left). I know that the IGs are exactly cheap (I took them, 8 of them), but then again, it 'is' cheaper than having to pay for your uni fees as an international student. I'd just go talk to your school's college counselor if I were you...

Oh, and don't forget about scholarships!

Try going doing more extracurriculars. Universities generally wouldn't want people who only study and do nothing else. Who knows, if you're good in sports, you might even be able to apply for a sportsman scholarship.

Well, I'm off to do some more work experience later, and I'm a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon-Do, so I should have some chance.....

Plus, targetting 7A*s, 3As in my coming exams.

Community service...you want to make yourself look well-rounded. Uni app forms usually have a section 'just' about work experience (well...the unis I applied to did). If you have anything under work experience, and indicate that you need financial aid, they'll set up this 'aid package' thing for you, and include a job in there. In other words, they'll make you work for money.

Oh, and 1 more thing, there're generally two types of scholarships: need based scholarships, and merit based scholarships. Need based scholarships, well...they're not exactly difficult to get from unis cause when you apply for one, unis usually ask for a bank statement, so all you do is create a bank account with 'just' enough money to meet their requirements, then you're all set. Merit based scholarships: Usually much nicer than need based scholarships. Your IGs won't get you anywhere (not saying that you shouldn't aim high). I only sent my IG grades to 1 university out of the 5 I've applied to. Why? Well...4/5 unis didn't want my IG grades (but then again, I didn't apply to any unis in europe, and the IG program isn't really recognized by american unis). For a merit based scholarship you'll want to get urself a nice high accumulated gpa, and a nice class rank. Oh, and when you're applying, check if you qualify for a scholarship first (I can't get a scholarship from purdue cause I'm an international student).

You should be fine...
