ive heard that to make a map hack say from 1.2.01 to 1.2.04 all u have to do is change a couple numbers

No it isnt a simple porcess. You need programming knowlege and the know how to use programs such as soft ice. This is about as basic as it gets.

Is this tutorial based on MapHacks, or can it be used for other hacks also? Just wondering, I am kinda thinkning about getting into hacking (well making them) and I would go to the limit in order to try to get into it.
The tutorial this thread is based on is basicly just about the MapHack (correct?). Would someplace like BlizzHackers have tutorials for different types of hacks other than MapHacks? (E.g. NameSpoofs and stuff). Or something based on a disconnect hack (how to make one).

I was just wondering how someone would get those. Is that just by searching around in the coding of warcraft, or did WiKid have to get into Blizz somehow to get those? Erg.. im confused about that

The tutorial taught you how to do it with a program called softice.

That was the jist of what the program was telling you to get...

If I only had Softice... I tryed KaZaa but it was Win 95 crap, and another one when I unzipped it took out like 13 "Nuss.zip" files that did nothing at all. I think I will check out softice on your site forged, if its still there and all.

I have not located SoftIce on your site either. I would also like to start learning. Any help with getting this program would greatly be appreciated.
