I got crapped on for my pc(1.7k)Gateway.....it is very old though....pentium 3 800mhz, 15 gig HD, 128 mb Ram, Speakers(the only good thing), and monitor 17" not LCD, DVD rom, voodoo 3 16mb(hahahaha)...etc...
And trust me i learnt my DAMN lesson when to buy a pc!!!

How the hell do you overclock a processer?
LOL....you need a good cooling system on it(it could be air/liquid/vapor.....)....You make the Processor work faster...but when something works faster it will produce more heat...hence you will need a better cooling system...

I built my comp, and me and my friend estimate it to be at around a legit $400 least and $550 most.

AMD Athlon-XP 3200+ (2.2 gHz, 400FSB) - $200
Biostar Motherboard nVidia nForce2 M7NCD Pro - $80
nVidia GeForce 2 MX400 - $40
Micron Tech DDR-SDRAM PC2700 - 256MB - $25
Samsung DDR-SDRAM PC2700 - 256MB - $25 (I know i need PC3200 memory for my Athlon-XP 3200+, but only if i have the money)
Mitsumi CD-RW - $40
Toshiba DVD Drive - $40
350W PSU - $40
Mid-Tower Gaming case with lights - $30

Yet it can still play Call of Duty at med-settings.:)

There was another one where they overclocked a P4 3.2 Etreme Edition to over 5 gHz! http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20031230/index.html
-190 degrees celsius is the coldest an object can get ever (learned that in physics class).

I know you're talking to me because i have been bashing on your greatest hero (Alienware). Well, i wasn't really bashing on it, just made a comment about how alienware was too expensive for a middle-class person to afford. I have built many computers for many people i know, granted i may not know as much but i do know enough to build comps for people. I am usually online just to learn more about computers and not to flame people like it seems to you. I may go against a certain post but sometimes i back up my post, just ask me. I would appreciate it more if you show me how Alienware integrated their comps as one, etc. with a link leading to it, etc.

I built my computer about a year ago.

I have 312 MB RAM
2.2 GHZ
40 Gig of Harddrive
Newest G-Force that was on market
Crappy sound card-upgrading over the summer
And I need a new monitor, I'm just using a free one right now.

But with all the other parts (just gave you the big ones) when compared to those at circuit city and best buy here is what it came out to:

Mine: $670
C.City: $1,790
B.Buy: $1, 900
