you people have no case against gays. the bible screws itself over and is hypocritical on many issues, including homosexuality. the bible is not grounds for anything. you have the right to believe what you want, but not to oppress other people because of YOUR unfounded beliefs (homosexual marraige...)

and if your saying a gay guy might hit on you, you obviously dont know any gay people. just a few days ago i was playing football with a bunch of freinds, one of them if gay. he didnt hit on any of us, he didnt grab anyone any weird way when he tackled them. he acted like a normal guy when we went inside and watched a movie. he is like most gays i know. i only really know 3 or 4, but only one of them you can tell is gay at first glance. and he doesnt hit on every guy he sees either, he just talks like your typical "tv gay"

ok, women can be homosexual too. If everyone in the world suddenly went gay all the guys would earn money from sperm banks, and the women (lesbiens) would go have babies with the sperm from the spermbanks. You don't need to have sex with someone to have a baby, "Duh".

What's your point? The fact is that not everyone is gay and never will be, so reproduction isn't even an issue.

You may be "pro life," but you're not the one going through childbirth, now are you? What does this have to do with the discussion, anyway? Are you saying you don't like homosexuals because they can't have children? If so, many homosexual couples adopt, which is actually, in essence, saving the life of a child. I would have to say that's definitely "pro life."

I still don't understand this argument. Is the only reason you don't want to hang out with gay guys because they might be interested in you or hit on you? Because if so, like I said before, then you would also have to not hang out with girls because they might be interested in you or hit on you. I'm curious as to your reasoning here.

I also don't understand your rapist argument. Rapists break the law, homosexuals like people of the same gender. It's not a valid comparison.

It's not so much ignorance as it is simple refusal to look beyond the bonds of religion. Then again, if you take the theological definition of ignorance ("A willful neglect or refusal to acquire knowledge which one may acquire and it is his duty to have." --Book of Common Prayer), I suppose you could be considered ignorant. Then again, so could lots of people. I know I'm ignorant about a lot of things....

Anyway, it's not so much that I think you're ignorant or that I'm offended by you, but more that I'm just frustrated by the way you twist Christianity to fit your needs. I mean, if you're going to make an argument, it's probably not best to use the Bible to back it up since the majority of people here are athiest, and not all Christians here take the Bible literally. Arguments based solely on religion generally aren't very good ones.
