Drunk driving is stupid all around and isn't something to brag about. A good lawyer would be able to get you off 9 times out of 10 if you're willing to pay.

In Canada they say the second time serves a mandatory jail sentence but I know people who've been caught 3 or 4 times and haven't spent anytime behind bars. And you don't get raped in our jails.

simply not giving you the option of taking a urine/blood test might be enough for a good lawyer to get you off.

I had a friend get pulled over at .08 or something and demanded a blood test they took her to the station and it took 2 hours for the blood test guy to get in (the arresting officer couldn't do it) and by that time she was like .06 and lost her license for a month because she was on a graduated license. sure beats one year and a criminal record.
