Hero Line Wars - Battleforums edition​

I have volunteered to create this map under the circumstances the people who were supposed to randomly create it either didnt show or died. Post your suggestions here, I may have to code and program this whole map alone if necessary.... Help would be suggested.

Phase 1: The Heroes

We need at least 15 heroes to start the map. You may throw in suggestions for the skills, but if you say anything like 100% cleave or divine shield as skills. I will personally NOT look at them, these were the reasons why the original sucked.

Also, the heroes are either mods, admins, staff or friends of mine. The rest of the low posters or such will be creeps based on popularity. Yes, a democratic BF sucks, but hehe its how I work !

First off are you going to use the heros in the sticky?

Or just admins + staff + wc mods?

We had some good skills and all in previous map, make sure you consider those too, (its in 5th page, dP's link)

Like? I know how to completly make skills that are WAY different then what they were. Eg, Fan of Knives I can make shoot fireballs out instead. I have my hero completely skilled already, I just need to switch my Sentry skin (since my character is in fact a girl ) to a raider.

Creep wise, the building will be called C0rtalos' Server and it will have members that I didnt include, have low post counts, or are just people I don't like. Starting off with MrBret of course .

If I am flaming anyone, don't be offended though. The higher the post count, the better the creep you get. Like TrOik would be in the t2-t3 region (there are 6 tiers in all 0_0)

we coudl get more creative then that but we'll see how it goes as the maps are being made.

I had few ideas I wanted to mention for names of the creeps, but I think it would result in gayness so, ermm well I guess Ill say it anyways, just bear with me here, and tell me what you think...

Types of creeps, 3 types: weak ones, Medium, Strong (thx for the obivous mr. N)

as for the bosses you could make.. like you know, those strong ones, for weak ones: Gahdaeagggaa p)

Medium ones: TheSummit (pissed)

Strong ones: Skuzzy (pissed)

and also how many heros are going to be in it? 15? then we should get which members to add into the map.

Heres what I think we should do...

1. Finding which honorable members to put into the map

2. Skills, stats, etc..

3. Layout (not one of those "OMFG HERO LINE WAR" lay out, lets get more creative here)

4. Creeps (easy stuff I guess), and their costs.. income

5. Special Features in the map, some originality would be good for this part and triggers

6. Our opening pic.. when its loading, those pics, we could get one of graphics ppl to make quick and simple one for us.

yeah hey i wouldnt mind helping out its been a while sense i have played a GOOD hero line war so i would like to help make a good one.. also if you dont mind i would like to be in as a something in the map second oldest active member gets shit lol.

Hooray, we have a small, but no silly development team ! Okey, there will be plenty of members to use. Terrain wise I would use Cityscape and make it like a highway road or something with trees and shit... Just stop the enemies from getting to c0rts house lolz.

I can't do the t3chnical stuff, but I'd be happy to assist in the hero development as far as stats, spells, names, members, etc.

highways are overrated

I was thinking of.. something like forest style you know, instead of those high ways, and we can have C0rt's lonely house as the end point or something..

Nice, a series of trees in a forest, a river or a pond thru the middle, then they enter c0rts house and you lose a life. Or they can attack the house and you have to defend it

These people have either been mods, eldars, staff members, or people that make up history of this forums. The rest will be creeps, but thier post count will determine what creep status they get! All we need to do is pick 10 of these.

Ones Used: Hellwolf_36 (I made the map durrrr), Ntrik_ (we are kinda hosting it , ChrisUK, C0rt, and Skuzzy! Marked in red for easy reference

It doesnt matter if they are inactive or not btw.

OH btw. if anyone comes to this thread and says stuff like this map sucks or doesnt contribute will be considered violating rules. I maybe not the mod of this section, but I want to keep the peace

That will depend on how the difficulty is set up... Which I call Hatred to C0rtalos. IT can be light, or KILL THE BASTARD! In which like 3 Creeps will spawn for every unit built (triggers and variables).

Lets get the units and models for our 60+ creeps out of the way so we won't have to worry bout them later. They will consist of other important people or regular posters here at Battleforums. It doesn't matter if they are retired or not.

What chips did I magically eat?
What kinda of models for the creeps are you looking for custom models?

Custom Models will go in a version just for us. A public version will contain regular models. Why? Well, lets just say! It's roughly 200+KB per custom model or skin. What chips? well the barbeque ones and it was a little joke for the more contributing members

I have one week off from school exactly 2 weeks from now Auron. I am gonna work on the map 3 days straight (the weekend). The beta should be done depending on how well we cooperate as a development team. I'll post who is doing what when we get to Phase 3 (which is the map making (terrain))
