He lost Soviet Russia because he split his armies in half and attacked during the winter,
something his troops werent used to.

He even lost North Africa (which Rommel did a good job taking) because he didnt ship supplies to him to continue the campaign.

It was his decision to go into Russia, which was ultimately the reason why he lost the war. All the blunderers that occurred after are unimportant.

North Africa was part of it too.

If he probably didnt send Rommel there on a useless campaign (or at least sent him what he needed) things would be a lot different.

Italy was really the weak link. All things considered, Germany-Soviet non-aggressive pact was great until Hitler decided to invade. Europe was Hitlers, and Spain did it's own thing. All Germany needed to do was to make sure that North Africa was kept, the Strait of Gibraltar was closed, and Malta was taken, removing Allied influence in the Mediterranean. No easy task, but far easier than a land war in Russia which destroyed Germany in WWI and Napoleon a century before.
