I appreciate the effort but there are many online resources dedicated to teaching German. Also, you can't just learn by reading phrases... you need the aural element for pronunciation.

I went to Japan once for a homestay program. It was pretty nice, considering the family basically paid for my food and board . I'm going again this summer to work.. so yeah, going there is always the best option.

For Farsi I've been using Skype to voice chat with Persians who want to learn English. I also have a friend who bought a pretty expensive Farsi program since we couldn't find it anywhere on the net.
