I appreciate the effort but there are many online resources dedicated to teaching German. Also, you can't just learn by reading phrases... you need the aural element for pronunciation.

Ich kann ein bisschen Deustch sprechen... but at the moment I am trying to move from advanced to fluent in Japanese and my Farsi is still intermedaite :p.

Ja.

lawl.

Yeah, Ich Will has some good lyrics.

If you want a fun time in German class, get Zwitter on the board.

Ich bin eine schones Zweigeslecht! Ich bin in mich verliebt! Ich bin die schonste Mensch von allen!

Translation: I am a beautiful bisexual! I am so in love with myself! I am the most beautiful person of all!

Hiding in your closet...
Lol... Go suck someone off, Hitsua... I'm half German and half Italian. My grandparents, on my father's side, came straight from Germany. So, I picked up on a few phrases...

As long as people don't think they "know" a language because they know a few phrases or they took it in high school for two years, then I have no problem with them.

People should be learning Mandarin, Arabic, Urdu, etc., instead of easy European languages. German is cool and all but I'd advise anyone in here to not expect it to be nearly as useful as Asian and Semitic languages.

Still, if I had learned German instead of Japanese, I wouldn't have to deal with the Wapanese in college.. most annoying group of people ever. Need to ship them off to Iraq or something.

Why the **** am I writing such a long response? I'm tired.

I bet your e-girlfriend thinks you're a badass for that comment.
She listens to Rammstein too, and as she just said, she's HALF German. And she thinks I'm a badass on general principles. RIGHT SUGARBUNNY? So again, STFU Leotard Boy. Go **** your clay vagina.

And I find it mildly amusing that even though she had 4 years of Spanish as opposed to my 3, I still run circles around her in Spanish conversations. ^_^

Unless both your parents are 100% German and 100% Italian, you aren't half anything, except maybe chubby.

German is a usefull language to learn man. I got a bit of a headstart, one part of my family is all German, and a little of the accent was passed on to me. I can pronounce some of the harsher / courser sounding words and sentences pretty good.

I pick up a little of the language every time i'm out there it's good. One of these days i want to try to properly learn the grammer so i can hold a conversation with my uncle for more than 3 minutes! heh..

I learn some basic Spanish as well when i'm out there, it makes it a much better holiday if you can speak the native language.

They are. Her dad is straight German, her mom is straight Italian. Her grandparents were straight out of Germany, as in immigrated here? She's explaining that her dad's side is fresh out of Germany itself, not that her grandparents were the only ones that were full German.

Think about it. If both her grandparents were straight out of Germany, that would make her father full-blooded German, wouldn't it? And that would make her at least half German, no matter what bloodline her mother was, which just so happened to be full Italian. So she's half both. Duh.
